In partnership with the CRD, we have an exciting opportunity to not just improve the court 4 surface but to implement a fix that will significantly improve the efficiency, playability & longevity of our playing environment. Here’s what this project entails:

· Essential crack repair (acrylic patch binder, cement, & sand to the level of the court surface) as well as a secondary labor-intensive application of tape, fiberglass, and mesh systems which provides a more extensive crack repair and longer-term fix.

· New dedicated pickleball lines for all four courts.

· Four new state-of-the-art portable in place net systems (no more net set up…yay!)

The estimate for this project, which we are aiming to have done in late Spring 2026. is $95,000 and the CRD has $50,000 allocated in their budget.

USABILITY – An increase in year-round usability of courts allowing members of this pickleball community more access to play, particularly through the wetter months where current conditions have limited play.

LIFESTYLE  & EXERCISE – Pickleball is an essential part of this community’s  physical and social health lifestyle

· REDUCED INJURY – The resurfacing of these courts will help reduce the risk of injury – having drier courts will help prevent slipping and sliding due to water build up and moisture.  The efficacy of this longer-term resurfacing solution will provide a more stable court environment.

· ENHANCED PLAY – Our goal is the enhance the user experience for all players as cracks and crevices can impact ball playability and placement as well as have now become trip hazards.

· EFFICACY – With the basic surfacing, re-cracking is expected in the first year. With the heavy and ever-increasing use, the facility needs to be upgraded and maintained in a safe condition.  The highest quality of resurfacing is designed to delay cracking for a longer period and hence require less maintenance to keep the courts safe.
